Nguyen Thuy Trang also known as Thuy Lam was crowned as the 2008 Miss Vietnam Universe in a beauty contest held last May 31st at Nha Trang’s Vinpearl Land resort. Along with a US$12,000 crown, she also won VND100 million ($6,060) and a $2,000 scholarship to study English. Thuy also won the titles - Miss Talent, Miss Vote and Miss Best Interview awards.
